A weird incident involving Ugandan musician Patrick Mulwana, known as Alien Skin, has sparked a lot of discussion on social media. The story started on TikTok and was later confirmed by the police. A video from Tuesday evening shows Alien Skin picking up what he called a "bomb" with his hands taking it home. This has left many people confusedand asking if it was real.
The news came out today at around 3:30a.m according the Kampala Metropolitan Patrick Onyango, according to the video that went viral. Many think it’s hard to believe the object was a real bomb because experts say no one would handle a real one so carelessly. Some people are saying it might be a fake event done for attention or to distract from other issues.
This event happens as Uganda faces more security worries. Just a few days ago, on June 27, 2025, a top army leader ordered a check into fake bomb stories linked to a dangerous group. Some believe Alien Skin’s actions might be a way to shift attention from political problems.

People online have shared different ideas — some say it’s all about politics, while others think it’s just for show. The police have not yet said what the object really was or why Alien Skin was involved. Uganda’s laws allow police to use force only in serious cases, but past reports show they don’t often get punished for mistakes. This makes some worry the truth might be hidden. What People Are SayingReactions online show a mix of thoughts. Some call it a planned trick for fame, while others wonder how Alien Skin got the object or why his place was chosen.
A few say everything in Uganda now feels political, and one person even shared a funny picture to show doubt. There’s also talk about old fights that might be connected.Past IssuesAlien Skin has been in trouble before. In 2023, a fight with an event organizer led to his bodyguard’s arrest after a shooting. This new event feels similar. The police have dealt with real bomb cases before, like the 2021 explosions that killed three, but nothing yet ties this to danger.
As the police look into it, people are waiting for answers. This story might tell us more about Uganda’s challenges than just about Alien Skin. Keep watching for updates as things unfold.
