A disturbing video has surfaced showing a student being severely beaten by teachers at a secondary school in Uganda.

The footage, widely shared on social media, shows a male student, estimated to be between 17 and 20 years old, being physically abused by a male teacher and other teachers besides.
In the described information the school is known as Standard College In Rwashamaire Ntungamo district where this took place from.
The video appears to show the teachers locking the doors to prevent the student from escaping, before repeatedly slapping and hitting him. The student can be heard pleading for mercy, but the teachers continue to beat him.
For Over counted eight and more strokes were given to this student in the staff room.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with many Ugandans condemning the teachers' actions on social media. The Minister for Youth and Children's Rights, Hon. Balaam Baruhagare Ateenyi, has also spoken out against the incident.
Hon. Baruhagare begged the Minister of Education, Maama Janet Museveni, for taking action against corporal punishment in schools taking place in these school days.
He also commended the swift action taken against a Chinese contractor who was caught on video beating a Ugandan casual worker.
The Minister called on the authorities to take action against the teachers involved, saying they must be held accountable for their actions.
