President Museveni Meets Journalists and Bugisu Natives, Emphasizes Wealth Creation

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni met with journalists from the Bugisu sub-region at the State Lodge in Mbale yesterday, emphasizing the importance of everyone, including the media, participating in the government's wealth creation programs.

Mbale, Uganda - The meeting, which took place in the morning, was a crucial step towards fostering collaboration between the government and the media in driving development.

During the conversation, President Museveni highlighted the significance of the media's role in promoting the Parish Development Model and other government initiatives aimed at boosting economic growth and prosperity.

On a lighter note, President Museveni recounted historic events surrounding the country's narrow escape from Iddi  Amin's army in Maluku Estate, a memory that still critically remains in his mind after 51 years. This personal story underscored the president's deep understanding of the country's history and his commitment to building a prosperous future for all Ugandans.

The meeting was a significant step towards strengthening ties between the government and the media, as well as promoting development in the Bugisu sub-region. 

By engaging with local journalists, President Museveni demonstrated his willingness to listen to the concerns and ideas of the community, ensuring that the government's initiatives are tailored to meet their needs.

As the president continues to champion the Parish Development Model and other development programs, the collaboration with the media will be crucial in disseminating information and promoting awareness about these initiatives.


With the media's support, the government can effectively communicate its vision for a prosperous Uganda, where everyone has the opportunity to contribute to and benefit from the country's wealth creation programs.
